On November 16, 2023 CRIBE held its first Wood-based Sustainable Building Materials Leadership Summit. The objectives of the summit were to determine the extent to which mass timber and other wood-based solutions could contribute to decarbonization, and how said solutions could be produced in Ontario.

We were encouraged to have been joined by over 25 individuals, representing government and key industries: architects, builders, forestry, manufacturing, and construction. We would like to express special gratitude to Hon. Graydon Smith, Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry, for his opening statements expressing support for the role advanced wood construction could play in the government’s objectives to build in Ontario. We look forward to harnessing this tremendous growth opportunity.
