This virtual forum was held to continue collaboration among key stakeholders to address opportunities using sustainable forest biomass in energy production and/or reductants for industrial processes across a range of industrial sectors.

A presentation on Nextfor’s current initiatives and future plans for opportunity road mapping was given by Mike Barten (Nextfor Coordinator, CRIBE).  Participants were asked to provide insight on current efforts and future goals for forest based biocarbon or biofuel technologies.  The discussion focused on questions needing to be answered to accelerate implementation of new technologies in order to utilize forest biomass in these sectors.
