Nextfor hosted an Advanced Wood-Based Building Materials Roundtable on February 22nd 2024 in Toronto, ON to discuss actionable strategies to overcome barriers to sustainable wood-based construction. The agenda of the day included presentations, discussions on said presentations and a facilitated discussion on said topic.

We would like to sincerely thank our guest speakers for their presentations on areas such as implementing sustainable construction practices at the municipal level, the role of LCAs in evaluating the environmental impact of wood products, and current market trends in the construction sector. We are also deeply grateful to have been joined by stakeholders representing government, academia and key industries including real estate, architecture and forestry.

We look forward to continued collaboration, advancing the manufacturing and use of sustainable building materials in Ontario.
