Forest Biomass Socio-Economic Impact Assessment
Conducted by Suthey Holler Associates for Ontario’s Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.
Please note that Nextfor will not be leading any parts of this project, but instead will be utilizing nextfor.ca as an information sharing platform on behalf of Suthey Holler Associates. All project information will be made accessible on this page.
Growing interest in the Forest-based Bioeconomy (FBB) presents significant opportunities to further develop Ontario’s forest biomass resources (for heat and power, biofuels, biochemicals and biomaterials). As part of the multi-year Ontario Biomass Action Plan the province is building a deeper understanding of the experience and future plans of northern, rural and Indigenous communities in using forest biomass. As such, Suthey Holler Associates is conducting a study for the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF), “Forest Biomass Socio-economic impact assessment”.Click here for details
