Nextfor hosted the Northwestern Ontario Forum on January 27th, 2026 in Thunder Bay, ON, to share the highlights of our recently funded initiatives in Northwestern Ontario aimed at advancing economic development in the region through innovation and collaboration.

The day’s agenda revolved around presentations from Silvacom, Rutter Bioenergy, Northwestern Ontario Innovation Centre (NOIC), Thunder Bay CEDC and Lake Nipigon Forest Management Inc. (LNFMI), followed by facilitated discussions on the opportunities presented.
