On October 15, 2025, CRIBE and the Canadian Fuels Association (CFA), with facilitation support from Ian McCormack (Compass), hosted a workshop to explore the significant opportunity for Ontario’s forest industry to support the production of low-carbon renewable liquid fuels from wood.
Building on CRIBE’s Roadmap to 2030, the event brought together stakeholders from the forest sector, fuel industry, government, technology providers, and investors, to review key findings from recent studies and map out a collective action plan to advance this transformative opportunity for Ontario’s bioeconomy.
The day’s agenda moved between presentations, success stories, and facilitated discussions, with table group work focused on developing the business case, strengthening the supply chain, and identifying key enablers for the wood-to-liquid fuels sector.
We extend our sincere thanks to all who attended and presented.
