On January 31, 2023 Nextfor and a group of stakeholders joined CHAR Technologies at their Thorold, ON RNG and Biocarbon production facility.  This site tour was hosted between 10:30AM – 12:30PM.  The in-person tour was held at the CHAR Technologies Facility, in the Thorold Multimodal Hub.  

The Centre for Research and Innovation in the Bioeconomy (CRIBE), through its initiative Nextfor, coordinated this event in conjunction with other stakeholders to continue mapping out opportunities and challenges related to the development and utilization of forest-based biomass feedstocks in heavy industrial applications and build cross sectoral collaborations with the forest industry. Additionally, this event was an opportunity to connect with other members of the value chain, and network!
